    Profile:
    Sudhir is the CEO and Director of SAN Techno Mentors Pvt. Ltd. During his professional career spanning over 29 years, Sudhir has worked in the areas of instrumentation and automation design, detailed engineering, projects, installation and commissioning at site for variety of industry applications. He has also worked as a director for process control and computer peripherals manufacturing company mainly supplying to major automation manufactures.

    He has experience of working in the Middle East as a profit centre head that included international projects, sales and marketing in instrumentation and industrial packaging. He has worked as a consultant to various leading international organizations viz. Tata Honeywell, Eureka Industrial Equipments, Thermax etc.

    His passion for teaching / training goes way back with his association with academic institutions since 1988. He has been a visiting faculty at the Government College of Engineering Pune (COEP) and the Department of Instrumentation Science at the University of Pune. He played a key role in launching and conducting training programmes for industry professionals and students at COEP. His continued passion saw him establish SAN Techno Mentors in 2007 – a company focussed on providing training and consultancy in various engineering areas.

    He has worked as an Asst. Professor with one of the leading technical institutes and has published many papers. He is associated with number of institutes as a visiting faculty and is a member of board of studies and postgraduate recognized teacher at University. He has presented a paper at IEEE Conference on Advance Process Control at Vancouver, Canada in May 2005.

    Sudhir has carried out training in India and abroad in the areas of instrumentation, industrial automation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, advanced process control, automation project engineering etc. for many professionals, students and professors from several leading companies, engineering colleges and institutes.

    He is an associate faculty for TUV Akademie, Middle East for conducting training programmes in the middle and far east.   • Anant Gokhale, Director

    Profile:
    Anant Gokhale has over 27 years of industrial experience in electronic product design, communication software development and customized solutions. He has developed many products that have earned international repute and he is highly respected in the areas of electronics design, communication and data management.

    Anant’s professional career began as a R&D engineer at Datapro Electronics building PC-based teleprinter / telex machines. After a period of two years, he co-founded San Telequip. Here he was instrumental in developing and manufacturing Protocol gateways and Interface converters for various industrial automation and telecom connectivity applications. Several products and several years later, after setting up the technical team at San Telequip, Anant co-founded Crystaline Infotek with a focus on Electronic product design services.

    Anant’s technical strengths have enabled Crystaline to build several products for customers worldwide in the areas of Home Security, Data Communication, Industrial Automation, Automotive Electronics, Semiconductor Equipment, and Medical Electronics. Anant has guided several offshore teams on product design and as the CTO continues to be the technical backbone for the SAN Group companies.

    Anant is also an authorized design consultant for Microchip and AVR. More recently, Anant has inducted himself more formally into training extending his previous role of a technology mentor. He has conducted several trainings, locally and abroad, in the areas of microcontroller based product design, networking & communication, and communication interfaces. He is also a visiting faculty at College of Engineering Pune and the University of Pune.

    Dr. Sujata Agashe is working as consultant and mentor looking after industrial projects in the areas of Condition Monitoring, Instrumentation, Automation, and Process Control. She has an excellent background of both academic and industrial worlds.

    She has worked on E learning Development for Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) sponsored “Virtual Lab Project”. As a part of her project she was responsible as “Lab Developer” covering concept and content development (course notes/courseware, simulators, GUI for theory, lab experiments, tests and evaluation schemes etc.).

    Sujata started her professional career with College of Engineering, Pune, as a visiting faculty. She was involved in conducting practicals for Basic Instrumentation and Transducers. She was also working with Hindusthan Instruments, Pune, for the development of instruments required for Sugar Industry.

    Later she joined Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, Pune, as Lecturer. She handled various theory classes and Laboratories for Instrumentation related subjects for Production, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics departments.

    Sujata joined Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, as a Lecturer in Instrumentation Engineering. She was promoted to Assistant Professor after working for about 5 years. She was involved in developing various laboratories such as Transducers, Analytical Instrumentation, Process Instrumentation and Biomedical Instrumentation. She contributed in developing State of the art training centres in PLC and DCS area.

    She carried out her research work in Process Instrumentation field in College of Engineering, Pune. Subsequently she became Head of Instrumentation Engineering Department. She organized various National and Internat ional students’ events, seminars and Conferences. She has number of National and International publications to her account.

    Sujata has conducted many training programmes for students, faculty members and industry professionals.

  • Madhav Kane, Mentor

    Profile:
    During his professional career of 34 years, Mr. Kane initially worked in the field of Process and Design Engineering, computer applications and technical software development, project engineering and site engineering for process plants.

    Mr. Kane switched into the exciting field of process control, instrumentation and automation engineering during the eighties.He worked with a medium size chemical manufacturing company followed by an instrumentation & automation company and an Indian affiliate of an international engineering organisation active in the food and chemical process industries. He was deputed to work overseas with affiliate companies for detailed automation engineering of large food and petrochemical industry projects that were ‘first of the type’ automation projects for these industry segments. Between 1985-87, he worked in the field of dynamic process simulation. In his last employment, Mr. Kane served as the business unit head for automation and was involved in the first significant automation engineering ‘software outsourcing’ project for the parent European organisation.

    In 1998, he established Consultancy Process Control Engineers (CPCE), a control engineering design and engineering organisation that is focussed on a process centric approach to chemical process control and automation. CPCE, under his leadership has, amongst others provided services to automation and engineering companies, Invensys and APV. His current interest areas include performance improvement of existing plants with process control solutions, batch process control and applications of advanced process control.

    Mr. Kane has carried out training in the areas of computer applications in chemical process engineering as well as instrumentation and process control for the food and chemical process industries. He has served as a trainer with professional companies, with professional forums such as Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers as well as with educational institutes like the Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). He continues his association with the academic world as examiner of both B. Tech and M. Tech. instrumentation and control programmes of the University of Pune.

  • Sharadchandra Pavnaskar, Mentor

    Professional Experience: Over 40 Years
    Profile:
    Mr. Pavnaskar started his professional career with Tata Motors Ltd., Pune (TML) in 1971 in the Electronics Division and has served in several capacities thereafter in a long stint of 40 years. He initially worked on design and development of test rig instrumentation for testing of automotive components, aggregates and engines. Subsequently he took up design and development of controllers for machine tools for very demanding automotive production environment. As head of development group he contributed to design and development of machine tools such as DC servomotors, Tachogenerators, DC servo drives, Computer Numerical Controllers, Grinding machine controllers and controllers for special purpose machines. He has three patents based on this work.
    He was a member of team responsible for installation, commissioning and proving the weld shop and the assembly line for the Safari vehicle in 1996.

    In 1997 while at the electronics division he designed and developmental PLC based welding fixtures controls and motion control systems for the weld shop of the Indica plant. He was also a member of the team responsible for the installation, commissioning and tryout of this weld shop.

    Mr. Pavnaskar, as the management representative (MR) for the ISO 9000 quality systems, he helped setup the quality system at the electronics division of TML. He has authored more than 50 internal standards and datasheets for electronic components in the process.

    In 1998, he helped stabilize plant machines, equipment and operations in his capacity of head of the electronics maintenance department.

    In 2004, as project manager for the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for Indica car plant, he set up the first and the largest implementation of MES in the automotive sector in India. Post-retirement in 2007, Mr. Pavnaskar consulted for Tata Technologies Pune in his capacity as program manager and consultant for MES. Having travelled worldwide to countries like Germany, Japan, England, USA, South Korea, Saudi Arabia as a part of technology transfer, machine / equipment approval, study, or MES implementation, Pavnaskar brings this international exposure and experience to the training he conducts. He has conducted several technical training programs for managers, engineers, supervisors and workmen of TML on CNC, servo drives, and robotics.

    Accounts Responsibilities: Preparing Balance Sheet , Budgeting , MIS ,Taxation, bank transactions such as bank reconciliation & bank guarantees, letter of credit, T.T., Import documentation also handled issuing of TDS certificates to customers maintaining / filing TDS return records, Preparing Form 16A, customer’s / supplier’s reconciliation and collection / issuing of form ‘C’. Checking & finalizing employee’s expense reports as per management’s instructions & guidelines. Handling of inter-divisional & branch transactions & reconciliation.

    H.R. Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly salary of the employees, submission of the returns such as P.F., E.S.I., L.I.C. & Professional Tax. Employee’s record updating & maintenance for assistance to the management during employees’ performance evaluation. Working on ERP System for bill processing in Payable Department.
